Retired Lt. Joseph Andruzzi Jr.’s Father

Joseph J. Andruzzi, 81, of Huntley, died April 21, 2022.Joseph was born November 8, 1940, the son of Joseph and Bertha Andruzzi. He served in the United States Marine Corp. as a Staff Sgt. and was a Vietnam Vet. In the Marines is where he met the love of his life, Mary M. Carini. The couple married on June 30, 1961. Joseph Sr. went on to serve as a Chicago Police Officer until his retirement in 2002. He was a great storyteller and never knew a stranger. Roseann Fitzgerald, Retired Lt. C.P.D. passed away November 3, 2021. Roseann was devoted to her many pets and a passionate supporter of animal rescue. Preceded in death by brothers Robert Nolan and Dennis Nolan, her mother Rose C. Johnson Fitzgerald and her father Matthew Fitzgerald. Survived by three nieces. The race begins at 8:00 am at Gold Star Families Memorial & Park, 1410 South Special Olympics Drive Chicago, IL.
